The Pony Club is an international voluntary you th organisation for young people interested in horses, ponies and riding. The Pony Club is represented in 27 countries witha worldwide membership exceding 110,000, making it the largest association of young riders in the world.
The objective of the Pony Club is to encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding. As a centre our remit is to provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to teach members how to care for ponies.
The Pony Club Training has evolved to encourage both boys and girls to develop their skills and culminates in taking tests and badges.
There’s an annual subscription paid direct to The Pony Club which is membership only. Attending Pony Club Rallies at Silvermer costs just £12.00 for 45 minutes. The Rallies are held on saturdays and sundays only.
Our Pony Club members are able to take part in competitions against other Pony Club centres. We regularly compete in the Pony Club Quiz and Blue cross care competitions. If you are interested in these please talk to Georgia. We also hold camps over the summer, badge tests and Riding tests during holidays.
Our Pony Club members are able to practice their skills by helping on the yard once they are 12 years old. If you would like to become a Pony Club member you will need to visit the official website www.pcuk.org for more information.
